Kilchoman Machir Bay

Kilchoman's flagship Machir Bay is a vatting of first-fill bourbon matured whisky, finished in oloroso sherry butts and bottled at 46% ABV. A characteristically Islay dram, it is delicate and approachable rather than powerfully peated. On the nose, vanilla, lemon zest and a gentle coastal character set the tone. The palate offers tropical fruit and dried sultanas alongside warming smoke and butterscotch sweetness. The oloroso finish makes its presence felt with sherry-soaked fruit, cracked black pepper and a lingering trace of maritime peat smoke.
