An independent bottling of Islay whisky, Ardbeg, by Douglas Laing. This Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled in 1975 and matured in oak casks for 25 years before being bottled in 2001. Bottled at a nice drinking strength of 50% this whisky comes in a 70cl bottle.

The nose is a combination of smokey sweetness and old leather. In the mouth it is smooth and oily, peaty with a touch of smoke. The finish is long, sweet and slightly dry with peppery overtones. One of my favorite Islays.
