Żubrówka is one of Poland's most distinctive vodka names, best known for its bison grass expression and its close association with the Białowieża Forest. The brand's roots are often traced back several centuries, and its identity is built around the aromatic grass traditionally linked with the European bison, or żubr, from which the name derives.

Today Żubrówka is part of the Maspex Group, following its acquisition of CEDC's Polish vodka portfolio. Production is associated with Poland, with the brand's best-known expression, Żubrówka Bison Grass, flavoured using bison grass macerate and traditionally recognised by the blade of grass placed inside the bottle.

The style is smooth, aromatic and lightly herbal, with notes of fresh grass, vanilla, almond, chamomile, green apple and gentle spice. Alongside the classic bison grass vodka, the wider Żubrówka range includes clearer and flavoured expressions, with Żubrówka Czarna and fruit-led variants broadening the brand beyond its original signature style.

Żubrówka stands apart from more neutral vodkas because flavour is central to its identity. It is especially well known served chilled or mixed with apple juice, where its herbal sweetness creates the apple-pie character that has made it a cult Polish serve as well as an internationally recognised vodka style.
