It looks very rich and syrupy in the glass. The color is a nice, rich amber. I find the nose very bright and citrusy, with a lot of ginger. There are also hints of cinnamon and clove. The alcohol is high, maybe too high. On the tongue, there is much drama. This Maker's Mark is treated with seared French oak staves, and strangely, you can tell....
