Trois Rivières is a Martinique rhum agricole brand with roots in the island's south, where the historic estate takes its name from the three rivers that once crossed its land. Its modern identity is built around fresh sugarcane juice rather than molasses, placing it firmly within the French Caribbean agricole tradition.
Today Trois Rivières is owned by Campari Group and produced within the Martinique AOC framework, whose rules govern key aspects of cane cultivation, distillation and ageing. Although the historic Trois Rivières site remains central to the brand's image, production has been consolidated with La Mauny at Rivière-Pilote, while the estate itself continues to serve as an important visitor and heritage location.
The range includes white agricole rhums, aged expressions such as VSOP and XO, vintage releases and cask-led bottlings. Younger rums tend to show bright cane, lime, grass, pepper and floral notes, while older expressions develop vanilla, dried fruit, spice, cocoa, toasted oak and a drier, more structured finish than many molasses-based rums.
Trois Rivières is a strong reference point for drinkers exploring Martinique rhum: fresh, aromatic and distinctly cane-driven, but with enough mature bottlings to demonstrate the depth and refinement the category can achieve with time in oak.
