Chase is a British vodka brand founded in Herefordshire by William Chase, the entrepreneur also known for creating Tyrrells crisps. Launched in 2008, it built its identity around a field-to-bottle approach, using potatoes grown on the family farm to create a distinctly English alternative to more conventional grain-based vodkas.

The brand was acquired by Diageo in 2021. Its original home was Chase Distillery at Rosemaund Farm in Herefordshire, though Diageo has since moved production into its wider distilling operations in Scotland as part of a brand redesign and consolidation programme. The Chase range has included Original Potato Vodka, Marmalade Vodka and other spirit expressions, alongside gins such as Chase GB, Pink Grapefruit & Pomelo and Rhubarb & Bramley Apple.

Chase Original Potato Vodka is known for a smooth, creamy texture, with gentle earthy sweetness, soft pepper, citrus and a rounded finish. The potato base gives it more body than many lighter vodkas, making it well suited to Martinis, simple mixed drinks and serves where the character of the spirit is allowed to come through.

Chase remains an important name in the story of modern British vodka. Its identity was built around Herefordshire farming, local raw materials and a premium English craft message, and while its production story has changed under Diageo, the brand is still closely associated with the richer, creamier style of potato vodka.
