Bache Gabrielsen Cognac

Bache-Gabrielsen is one of Cognac's enduring family houses, established in 1905 by the Norwegian Thomas Bache-Gabrielsen after he travelled to Cognac and acquired the older Dupuy house with Peter Rustad. In France, the connection with Dupuy long remained significant, whilst in Scandinavia the Bache-Gabrielsen name became particularly well established. More than a century later, the house remains closely linked with its Norwegian heritage and its strong presence in northern Europe.

Bache-Gabrielsen continues to be family-owned. It remains especially prominent in Norway, where it is widely recognised as the market-leading Cognac house, a fitting legacy for a producer established by a Norwegian and still closely connected to that market.

The house has developed its reputation on Cognacs that combine elegance, accessibility and consistent quality, often presented with a level of style and clarity that has helped it appeal beyond the traditional Cognac audience.
