More famous as a wine house, Calvet has also bottled and sold cognac over the years since its formation in 1818. It’s very hard to find much information about the company’s involvement in brandy - cognac isn’t even mentioned on its website.
Calvet bottle wine from a wide variety of French regions and vineyards so one can only speculate as to whether they distilled the cognac themselves or were simply bottlers and traders of cognac. The youngest bottle of Calvet cognac we have seen was from the 1960s.
